3-week Pottery Wheel Throwing and Handbuilding

Come to learn a new skill for our 3-week, in-depth pottery class!

Day 1: Throwing pieces on the wheel and making handbuilding 1 or two pieces
Day 2: trim, decorate and attach handles
Day 3: Glaze your pieces

Students will get the chance to create two or three pieces on the wheel and one or two pieces handbuilding. This is a perfect class to give you a "taste" of the secrets of pottery. You will create ceramics that will be useful to use daily, can be washed in the dishwasher, can be used in the oven and microwave. All item will also be food-safe.

In the first class, you will learn how to throw on the wheel and you'll make some beautiful pieces.
In week 2 you will learn how to trim your pieces, decorate and attach handles for mugs as well as using different techniques to create unique finishes!
In the 3rd week, you will choose and use glazes from our wide variety of techniques and colours to finish your pieces!

This is a perfect class for beginners or those who have taken a beginner's course already, but want to push their knowledge to the next level!

• All purchases are final and non-refundable.

  • Notice given 24-72 hours in advance will receive a 50% credit toward rescheduling.
  • Unfortunately, no credit will be issued for notice provided less than 24 hours before the class.

• The studio is not responsible for cracked or damaged pieces, as imperfections like cracks are a natural part of the ceramic process.
• By attending our studio, you consent to having you and your work photographed for promotional purposes.

Important Information:

• Arrive on time, to make sure you use the 3 hours allotted for your session.
• The last 15 minutes of the class are dedicated to clean-up.
• Pieces will be held for 1 month after the pick-up date

This classes is suitable for ages 16+. Fees include an eight sleeve of clay, all firings and glazes.
